Dear Members of the Northern Kentucky Skating Family,
Another summer is upon us. It's a time when all the skaters can be together, so the club is planning some activities at the rink this year. We had cake the first Friday to welcome everyone to another summer with NKSC. We are planning a Pizza Friday and an End of Summer Party. In addition, "Coach Appreciation Day" will be Friday, July 28. Watch the bulletin board for details and volunteer opportunities.
In May the club put on three fantastic shows thanks to all the hard work of our volunteers, especially the show chairs, Whitney O'Neal and Denise Simoni, and the coaches, Gretchen Reisner and Joanna Skeen. It amazes me how every year the show keeps getting better.
The annual club picnic and General Members Meeting was May 19. Every year at least three board members are elected to a three-year term. This year Mark Chastain, Pamela Drake and Kathy Voorhees were elected. At an executive meeting after the General Members Meeting, the board elected new officers. I was re-elected President with Ken Jones as Vice-President, Mark Chastain as Treasurer and Pamela Drake as Secretary. I think I speak for all of us when I say we are looking forward to an exciting and productive year. I also want to thank outgoing board members Whitney O'Neal, Denise Simoni and Kathy Paff for all their hard work and dedication to the club.
Since we are a volunteer organization, we cannot function without your help. Please downlaod the volunteer survey form, indicate any areas that interest you and return it to the NKIC office. We are still looking for some committee chairs. Let us know if you would like to participate in that capacity. We would appreciate any help, no matter how small, to keep our club successful and growing.
As always, the board welcomes your input or questions, either at a meeting or to one of us directly. Our next meeting is July 12 at 6:30 pm. It will be held in the Donato's Pizza Group Room located on Dixie Highway in Crestview Hills.
Respectfully,
Clare Richart
President

We wish to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who volunteered your time and talents to help us put on the 2006 NKSC Spring show, "Satellite Radio." Whether you chaired a committee, worked a shift or sold a program ad or "Skatergram," every single minute of volunteer time was very much needed and greatly appreciated. We could not have done it without you!
Sincerely,
Whitney O'Neal & Denise Simoni
"Satellite Radio" Co-Chairs
