NKSC hosted the 2008 Southern Eastern Great Lakes Figure Skating Council competition on the weekend of February 22-24, 2008. We had a great turnout for the competition, and it was a tremendous success. THANK YOU to each of you who worked at the rink to prepare for the event and to those who planned and worked the competition. It was a job very well done. Skaters for Kids 2007 is now a wrap. Thank you to our featured artists, Jessica Miller and Ian Moram, for your tremendous performance. Also, thank you Joanna Skeen, Show Director, and Denise Simoni, Show Chair, for all your time and effort in making the show a great success. Together with our talented skaters and a great team of volunteers, we've helped to brighten this year's holiday season for the children of the Lincoln Elementary School in Dayton, Kentucky, this year's recipient of charitable donations.
Congratulation to Christina Gao, Gold Medalist at Midwestern Sectional Championships. Christina also participated in the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships.
Congratulations to Alexandra Lunsford, Andrew Lunsford and Cody Rowekamp. They represented the Northern Kentucky Skating Club at the U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah, in Dance, Pairs and Individual Free Skate. We are proud of the great job you did representing us.
